Teach me how to shoot, teach me how to edit......Part

Ok, by now a lot of you have requested the information for the class which is GREAT! Thank you so much for taking an interest in the class I'm offering! 

BUT 

Some of you may be wondering, well why do I have to do this class first before I'm offered a more advanced class. I'm going to tell you why right now!

BECAUSE......... I have to start fresh with you! When you start doing photography and pick up things here and there or on your own or from people who aren't experts in certain styles GUESS WHAT you learn bad techniques! Don't get me wrong I still do this on occasion but I catch myself and I correct it because I've taught myself to catch it.

Some may say, well I don't like her edits, well guess what? Oh well!!!!  Because I like it and people like it and you may be thinking the same thing but how large is your client base or fan base? If the answer is not very large then I can help you because there may be something that isn't connecting your audience to your images and you know what they may be.....BAD TECHNIQUES.

AND

With this first class I create a profile on you based on the 5 images your send in and I take a look at your work on Facebook and website (if you have one). I write down things I think we need to work on, I'm not here to pick apart your photography and make you feel bad about it, I WANT TO HELP! If I can see there is a style you gravitate towards I can help you fine tune it! ART is different, we all have different styles. For the longest time I was stuck on "I WANT BRIGHT AND COLORFUL" and I would cringe when people asked for a particular look but then it dawned on me, I'm here to create a memory for them and they will have these in their homes forever. Do I want to just give them what I want and then they not be able to display these images in their home? I want people to see my work! I want them to be happy! So I expanded my editing style! If you look back through all my images on Facebook you can see how I have evolved and you know what....CLIENTS TELL ME ALL THE TIME THEY LOVE THE NEW CHANGES AND THEY LOVE WHAT THEY'VE BEEN SEEING THE LAST COUPLE YEARS!

Guys, that makes you feel great when you hear that! All my time doing workshops and purchasing new actions and using new programs IS PAYING OFF!

SO

Why are you hesitating? I could throw a quick workshop up on how to get business, how to get known BUT in the long run this won't help because your work won't change and it won't capture your audience or your ideal audience! You don't always want be shooting a $75 mini session or a $200 newborn session, you will work yourself to the bone and you will eventually give up and quit your business. If you better your images you can charge more and work less, or you may be so big that you work all the time because EVERYONE wants your photos and they don't mind paying the price and then you have to hire people to work for you! 

Which do you want to do?

Just take a look at the images from when I first started (Pirate ship) to where I am now (Dirt road)....Look at the skies, looks at the coloring!  When I shot the pirate ship I had no idea what I was doing but I thought I did, WAS I WRONG! 

The dirt road image, I've learned and I've worked hard to expand my style and to make that DARN SKY LOOK NATURAL!  The sky was all me, I kept trying and trying to figure how how to make it look natural and now weird. In the ADVANCED classes this is what you can learn!
